What is Tremp?

Tremp lets you get an Uber or Lyft without a smartphone or rideshare app. Simply call or text Tremp, get your price, confirm your ride, and you’re on your way.

Getting started takes just a few minutes. Call your local Tremp number, register your account, and add a debit or credit card for payment.

Once your account is set up, you’re ready to ride.

Text RIDE to your Tremp number, or call and press 2 to book through our automated phone system.
Enter your pickup and destination, receive a price, and confirm if you’d like the ride. Tremp will then arrange your Uber or Lyft.

Once your ride is confirmed, you’ll receive the driver’s estimated arrival time along with the vehicle and driver details.
Your driver will also receive your name and phone number so they can contact you if needed for pickup.

Tremp currently charges 10 percent above the ride share with a $2 minimum. For example, if a rideshare costs $10 the overall Tremp fee will add $2 and make the ride $12. On a ride of $25 a 10% Tremp fee would make the overall cost $27.77. The Tremp fee is subject to change. There no setup or monthly fees.

Tremp’s 10% is inclusive—it’s 10% of the total you pay, not 10% added to the ride portion.
That means the ride provider gets 90% of the total, and Tremp gets 10%.

Example:

We want Uber/Lyft to receive $25.
Since $25 is 90% of the total, Total = $25 / 0.90 = $27.77.
Tremp fee = 10% of $27.77 ≈ $2.77.
 
Why it isn’t $2.50:

$2.50 is 10% of the $25 ride portion (an exclusive model).
Our policy is 10% of the total charge (an inclusive model), so the fee is about $2.77 when the ride portion is $25.
 

Tremp Pass is the smarter way for frequent riders to save.
Add a minimum of $50 in advance to your Tremp balance and pay just a 10% Tremp service fee on your rides—even when 10% comes out to less than $2.
Your prepaid balance is used toward your Tremp rides.

Where you can ride: You can use Tremp anywhere Uber or Lyft operate globally. If Uber or Lyft serve a city, you can request a ride there through Tremp.
